much better than i expected By Randoman from Fairfax, Virginia on 02/03/2009 Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Great low light vision, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Bird Watching, Sporting Events/Concerts, Wildlife Viewing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these for my wife as she uses them on a professional basis. She replaced her Nikon with these b/c Nikons were flimsy, second grade plastic. The Nikons are in the same price point as the Steiners. Cannot beat German quality.
By Ant from Milford, NH on 01/30/2009 Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Easy to focus, Image clearity, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Bird Watching, Wildlife Viewing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have owned many pairs of binoculars in the past and was tired of them failing over time. A bump here and there and use by my kids took there toll. I believe that this was due to the lack of strenght in the construction of my old pairs (all constructed in Japan). Right out of the box you can see and feel the strenght and quality built in to these fine Steiner binoculars.
By Focused from rural Montana on 01/29/2009 Pros: Big value small price, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I appreciate the compact size, magnification, clarity, light weight and Steiner's reputation--all for a great price.
I'm not sure if I'll store the binoculars in the case on my belt while hunting or if I'll wear them around my neck. If the latter, some lense covers would be nice.
By Glacier Guy from Michigan on 01/26/2009 Pros: Compact, Quality Lenses Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second attempt with these glasses. The first pair fell apart after a few uses by my wife. The center friction that holds the glasses for various eye width positions failed in addition to the optics becoming distorted. [...](it took me a while to get the binoculars back to them) and I am just beginning to enjoy this second pair.
good product, great value By Me from guntersville al on 01/22/2009 Pros: Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: primary use for scouting waterfowl and for deer hunting. I like that they are compact and provide a very clear image at great distances away.
By Byrnzy from St.Louis, MO on 01/22/2009 Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You can not beat the value! Compact light and quality! The 10X is wonderful while you lose a bit of the wide view I would say for the size its worth keeping the great magnification. Good Product at a great price

Great optics, comes with nice case. By Mick from Midwest on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Quality Lenses, Smooth focus, Strong Construction Best Uses: Bird Watching, Sporting Events/Concerts Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sierra's description doesn't list the included case and lens cloth. I bought another case which I am returning because the Steiner case included is nicer.
