By Backpacker from St. Louis, MO on 01/12/2009 Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Backpacking, Bird Watching, Hunting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a great pair of Steiners I use for hunting. I bought this compact pair to take with me backpacking. The binoculars are light and fold up nice and compact. I have tested these binoculars at a hockey game and outdoors, they provide a nice sharp and clear image, I really like these guys! These binoculars will be with me on many, many future backpacking trips into very rugged wilderness (Montana, WY, UT, etc.) and on my adventures in Missouri.
Great Value for the Money By Warrior from Colorado on 01/07/2009 Pros: Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Wildlife Viewing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent compact glasses with acceptable low light capability. An acceptable compromise between large, bulky glasses and small light weight. The addition of the Steiner constant focus capability found on their more expensive binoculars would be worth the price.

Great optics and compact size By Teri from Charlotte, NC on 01/03/2009 Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses Best Uses: Bird Watching, Wildlife Viewing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These binoculars are easy to hold, focus and even share. Easy to use with glasses, smooth focus and great optics. You can even look toward the sun with no glare off the optics.
Compact size is most important and I compromised with the 10 x 26. I am used to a 10 x 35 with a wider view. But these are easy to spot your subject and I quickly adapted to the narrow view.
