By Tommy D from Spain on 03/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will be using these shoes for some light hiking and approaches on climbing trips. I like that they are light weight and have good traction for scrambling.
I was really upset by the lack of arch support and poor cushioning, but have substituted with a different insole. The toe of the shoe also seems to bunch and bubble when tightened.
I paid 50% of retail, so I can live with the imperfections. Rock on...

'The sole is rather hard' By Conyule from Bloomington IN on 02/26/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Dries Quickly, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not flexible, Poor Cushioning Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'll need to replace the in-sole for more comfort. The one that came with this model totally lacks cushioning.
A little time won me over By Roundhead from PA on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I read reviews about these shoes being "tippy"/unstable, I was concerned. The soles of these outdoor shoes are narrower than previous shoes I have owned, making them feel a little more like a track shoe. After wearing them a few days I adjusted to the different feel. Plus, they are very comfortable. I do have a narrower foot, so maybe that helped.

They continue the Asolo tradition of not needing to be broken in. I have owned over 20 pair of Asolo's and find them my favorite shoe bar none.

Feels light and comfortable By Ptasiek from Long Island, NY on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Shock-Absorbent Cons: Not so good for cool weat, Poorly sized Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these for everyday walking and biking. Good grip, good comfort despite the fact that they felt too big at first. Rather narrow so if you have medium or larger width foot I don't think they will work for you. Pros? Entire day of sightseeing Manhattan walking and no issues with sore feet!
