By Colorado mom from Longmont, CO on 11/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tried on a few Columbia boots in the past and they were way too heavy and stiff, so I was leary. But this style is great. Light, comfy and warm. Though I haven't yet worn them in the elements, I suspect they will hold up well.

Not sure they're what I need By Happy Sierra Shopper from Milwaukee, WI on 11/09/2008 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I may return these, am still debating. They feel a little large, but I could get around that with thicker socks. The real drawback for me is that I believe they are too clunky to wear driving - I am looking for a true winter boot such as this one to wear in extreme conditions to go to the grocery store, and even to get to the office. Not sure this is the one.
Nothing wrong with the boot other than it may run a tad large and they are VERY clunky. Good Columbia quality.

I had a pair of sorels that I loved because my feet NEVER got cold! But the were heavy and the ankles did not bend well, making them hard to walk in. These are rated for the same temp and are much better!
