By cliff from austin, tx on 10/29/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great looks, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant, Well made Cons: Even wide is a bit narrow Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As with all Asolo products, these are great boots, but they are narrow. Even the wide width at 1/2 size larger than normal feels a bit narrow.
By Bigfoot from Wisc. on 10/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If your feet are on the wide side, you may find this great looking shoe too narrow, even the wide sizes. If your feet aren't wide, the length felt true to size, and they look like a great shoe.
By Guy Who Hikes from Eastern United States on 10/29/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Owned for a short time. Comfortable out of the box. Stood in swift stream for several minutes on second day of use, with no leakage. Fit seems very similar to my old Asolo boots, which were 535s if I remember correctly, and lasted for years of heavy use. Exceptional support- protection against even the sharpest rocks underfoot. Try to carry 20 lb pack even on day hikes just to stay in shape, and the boots have been so supportive that my feet don't seem to tire from the 2-3 hour hikes despite the weight and newness of the boots. Absolutely no blisters. These boots seem to fit best over medium weight wool blend socks. I use a variety with very smooth/ flat seams. GREAT product. Solid reviews and great previous Asolo products caused me to purchase these without even trying them on! Couldn't be happier with the purchase or the great price.

By stevelee from Great Falls, MT on 10/27/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I wore them was hunting. There was unexpectedly 10 inches of snow on the ground -too much for this height of boot. My socks got wet from the snow over the boots, but my feet stayed dry and warm. The boots had good traction and support.

By Lou from Truckee, CA on 10/26/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for every day knockaround and yard work. Sturdy but not too heavy. Tongue on right shoe causes a blister high on left side of instep when tucked in during lacing. Remedy is to tie boot loosely and then pull tongue out a bit. Break in period may help.
