Mole skin is now my best friend! By Lady Hiker.. from Colorado Springs on 08/04/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very good stiff boot for hiking in very rockie harsh terrane. It is very water proof and has great support. On the other hand It has been horable to break in these boots. I have not gone on a single hike this year without developing some kind of blister or sore spot. It has been very dissapointing...
Boots do not match equally on both feet By Julsies from Fraser, CO on 07/27/2009 Pros: Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big, Feels too large Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I first bought a 9 1/2, which is my usual shoe size and these were about a 1/2 size too big. Went with a size down, 9 and the top of the left boot that wraps around your ankle is taller than the right. Exchanged for another 9 and same case. I wonder if all the boots are like this. Boot was pretty comfortable overall, but I could tell the right boot was shorter than the left. I've given up and will be returning once and for all. I have heared good things about Asolo in the past and wouldn't necessarily rule it out in the future. This line just doesn't seem to be working for me.

I only wore them around the house a few times before a trip to Colorado and Utah. We hiked a lot and my feet did not blister or get too tired. I wore wool socks with the boots.

By stp addict from syracuse, ny on 07/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Takes time to wear in, Tight in ankles Best Uses: Day Hiking, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great boot. It is a little tight on the wide part of foot and in the ankles but I think they will wear in well. Went for a hike this weekend and they were good. A little uncomfortable going down steep inclines but otherwise comfortable for a 2 hour hike. Very stylish for a hiking boot!
nice but too long when I ordered up By rtzptut from Charlottesville Va on 07/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a 7 or 7.5. In running shoes an 8. With comments like order a half size up and planning to wear thick socks I got 8s. They are a full thumb's width too long. I am hoping to get 7.5s and have them fit OK. Hope I do not have to go back to 7s. Other than that they seem like great boots.

They clean up nicely. They do look a little like desert combat boots.
