It is comfortable and sturdy. I had bought it in a size 10 since that is my running shoe size, but the boot was too big. I exchanged it for a 9.5 and it fits great. I am always pleased with Asolo quality.

By Chris from Central NY on 01/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the regular width boots and they were way to narrow. Narrower than my gym shoes. I exchanged them for the wide and they fit well, however, the wide is about the same as regular width in most other boots.

By Lucy from iNDIANAPOLIS on 12/22/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great boots for the money. I got them to do day hikes and city hiking. It is hard to find a boot that is not Gor-tex. Gor-tex makes my feet too hot & then my socks get wet. These are only water resistent so I would not wear them in the rain or through a river. I like the lighter weight of the boots, but would not take them if you are carrying something other than a daypack. My usual shoe size is 9-9 1/2. I got a 10 and they fit fine since I like heavy wool socks. And most importantly, my bunions don't hurt after a 15 mile hike!
