Redington lucent Fluorocarbon excellent! By philedawg from Rohnert Park, Ca. on 05/08/2008 Pros: Durable, Line Doesn't Tangle, Reliable, Strong Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Lake Fishing, River Fishing, Shore Casting Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This tippet material is top notch! I put
a lot of pressure on an 8 to 10 pound steelhead,
trying to stop the fish from going over a rapid
below a tailout, and the mustad hook broke before
the 8lb. test Redington Lucent fluorocarbon tippet
material broke. Awesome stuff!
By Tim now hates fluorocarbon from Troy, Michigan on 03/31/2008 Cons: Broke way to easily, Very weak line Best Uses: Do not use for Steelhead, Fly Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This fluorocarbon performed poorly in regard to breakage. Performed more like 4 lb test rather than 8 lb test (2X). No comparisn to 8 lb Maxima Ultragreen in strength. Use only on smaller fish.
