Everything they say they are..... By Jules from California on 09/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Many people don't like Sorel boots because they're heavy or bulky. But if you want WARMTH, you can't beat them. When I traveled to Russia in the dead of winter for work, and my feet were freezing, I was issued a pair of Sorel boots. Problem gone! I bought this pair because I now work in a Japanese Maple nursery and will be out in the rain, snow and muck all winter. I want to be warm and these boots will do the trick. They were true to size; I wear a 10 shoe, ordered a 10, they fit great. Don't let bulky or heavy dissuade you; you'll get used to that and more importantly, you'll be WARM!
Trendy boots for city weather conditions By Grace from Toronto, Canada on 09/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sorel is the best brand suited for Canadian winters. These boots will keep your feet warm and dry through snow storms and slushy conditions.
Order 1 size down. I have wide feet and can wear size 6.5 to 8 depending on brand and style, and the Sorel size 7 leaves a lot of room.

By SNPenguin from Inverness, Scotland on 09/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are very comfy and do what they say...they keep your feet warm. Because they are sealed to make them waterproof however, they are a little difficult to get on and off, especially if you have a high instep.

I think it was just this one pair of boots and not a problem with the product Soral has a good name.

True To Size! Half size should order UP By Porcupine from Portland, OR on 08/12/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: A little bit stiff, Heavy Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't used these yet as it's summer, but I'm moving to New England and these are going to be great on the coldest days. I can tell that they are going to be toasty warm and dry and about as attractive as you're going to get in a REAL snow boot. They are a bit stiff and heavy, but I grew up in the midwest and have come to expect a compromise to be warm and dry. I researched these on several sites because I am a size 7 1/2 with a narrow foot. Overall, I concluded that I should order down a size. When the size 7 arrived, my toes touched the end and it was so narrow that it squeezed my foot with a lightweight sock on. I exchanged for a size 8! Unless the sizing varies between the colors, these definately, without a doubt are true to size if not a bit small for their size. HALF SIZES SHOULD ORDER UP!
FIRST IMPRESSION ON SOREL'S 1964 BOOT By bleau from san francisco on 08/12/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, NA Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Winter Boots are not as heavy as I thought they would be. It is true that you must order 1 size smaller than your normal size if you want them to fit well not perfect though. The boot leather may seem rigid at first but will feel better with more usage.[...]Thanks for the feedback given to me before buying these boots !-
