Inefficient and inexpensive By Coyote from Denver, CO on 10/27/2008 Cons: Difficult To Use, Poor Design, Serves No Purpose Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fins are not adequate to hold your position in a pontoon boat in fair winds. As noted in other reviews the angle of the fins is poorly designed and alot of propulsion power is lost due to the poor fit of the straps.

Okay,..but could be a WHOLE lot better! By Fishin' RN from Enfield, NH on 05/12/2008 Pros: Durable, Inexpensive on sale Cons: Design is inefficient, Fins too small for effect, Straps are useless Best Uses: Fresh Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'll keep these fins because they are decent for the price, but first, the straps/buckles are TOTALLY useless if you have big feet at all (size 12 here). I threw the straps out and made my own...which cost about[$] from a fabric/craft store. Second, the design is VERY inefficient when you consider how you sit in a float tube. The vane of the fin should angle DOWN a bit so your thrust is pushing you to the rear instead of the way they currently work. They vane of the fin could also be about two inches longer so you can get more power from your kick. It is a no-brainer that float tube fin design should be quite different from scuba fins, but they do move you along...very slowly and inefficiently. At the sale price, they are tolerable, but come on folks...put a little thought into the design!

Caddis equipment is quality By Doc from Enfield,Ct on 04/12/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Cons: Srtaps are a little short Best Uses: Fresh Water, Perfect for a float tube Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These should help propell me along with little effort. They are built with a strong design towards efficiency.
The only problem for me is that the straps are a little short to secure to my boot.
By Wild Bear Flies from Jonesboro, AR on 12/19/2007 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm waiting for the weather to warm so that I can get out and use these. They seem great for my pontoon boat going down small streams.
