The Mary Poppins Bag (Fits Everything) By LD from Boulder, CO on 08/14/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Work laptop bag Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great laptop bag. Holds small architectural drawings & a laptop & files & still carries well on a bike. Great pockets, padding & features. Truly waterproof, as I discovered on a recent business trip. Downside is that the waterproof zippers are stiff & take both hands to close. Also, if you feel like you need a lap-top cradle / padded compartment, there isn't one.[...]
By Kwaj Man from Kwajalein Atoll on 08/05/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Meets my requirements for a waterproof bag, and is pretty comfortable as well!
By Kayak Roger from SW Michigan on 08/04/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Capacity, High quality construction, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Motorcycle touring, Sailing, Travel in wet places Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect size for weekend clothing plus a few things that you don't want to get wet. Mine's been fully submerged and stayed water tight. High quality materials and construction, and it's attractive. A bargain for the price. I'm very happy with mine.
By Gardener from South East Alaska on 06/20/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Cons: Bulky, Cumbersome to carry Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this bag so that I could keep books, etc. dry as I walk to work in the rain. I found the bag to be shapeless, awkward to carry, too large, and generally cumbersome. The quality of the bag is excellent but it just didn't suit my needs.
Love it! Second one Purchased... By Coach from Central NY on 05/14/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought one of the larger sized bags in bright red to use as my coaches' bag. (I coach, and am a coach administrator for AYSO Soccer).
The bag is highly visible on the field, so my helpers can pick it out quickly when we need more gear (or for ice or first aid kit when treating an injury.)
If is also waterproof, so keeps my cell phone, and all my various insurance and medical release paperwork nice and dry. Its courier straps make it carry like a dream, leaving my hands free to drag my ball bag, and whatever other equipment I need to haul.
My husband loved it so much he bought the Vancouver to use as a briefcase (he is a Construction Manager, and often on rainy/ dirty job sites.)
This bag keeps his contract documents and design drawing clean and dry. Please note this one is a tad smaller than he thought, it expands to about 4-5 inches wide. If you need to carry a laptop in addition to thick files and binders, you probably want to go up a size. He is loving this one though, and the size does keep the weight practical for him.
By Iceworm from Tenakee Springs, AK on 04/23/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Cons: Needs Padding for Compute, Needs Padding to be a bet Best Uses: Bicycling, Carrying Computer and Fil Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Needs padding to make it suitable for carrying a computer safely. Nicely organized and seems sturdy and waterproof. Will still fit a padded computer easily too---just an extra step and expense.
By Worker Bee from Ann Arbor, MI on 04/23/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the Vancouver bag as a work bag to store my planner, pens, calculator, etc. I wanted something with a little more "spunk" other than the normal black or brown briefcase.
Good bag but poor quality zip By Rolling legs from Montreal Qc Canada and Sydney Australia on 04/18/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great bag for space and to lug gear in rough weather.
The fron zip starts failling after 2 month usage and the shoulder strap material starts craking. Buy an add on shoulder strap from crumper for cheap + dont rely on the front zip for waterproof and easy access.
Exactly what I was looking for! By ForesterJay from Champaign, IL on 04/17/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Waterproof Cons: No padded computer pouch Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased this messenger bag to protect my computer and portable hard drives from the occasional rain shower here in east-central Illinois. Sharp design and stylish!
Best bet for wet weather! By JD from New England on 04/15/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This messenger bag has all the features you'd expect in a dry-bag for your recreational gear, but in a business-friendly package! It allows you to take all your important stuff---files, pda, cell phone, and tons more--to the office in the worst weather. No more trying to juggle an umbrella to keep a briefcase dry or trying to figure out how to fit a backpack under a raincoat. If you've got to walk a few blocks to the office, train, or an impromptu meeting in rainy weather you're all set. The only minor con so far is that the sealed zippers are stiff until you get them broken in. That's a minor trade-off off for a waterproof seal. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for my husband.
