Scientific Anglers tapered leaders
By John the retired upstate NY carpenterVerified Reviewer from Upstate NY on 07/14/2009
Pros:
Durable, Reliable, Smooth Reeling
Cons:
My close-up vision
Best Uses:
Fly Fishing
Describe Yourself:
Casual Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I used a 9' Scientific Anglers tapered leader today fishing on the Neversink River in NY. The leader tapered down to 6X which is very thin and I attached a few feet of SA 7X tippet to the leader, then a size 18 hook dry fly. Once I got it all together is worked real well. But my vision is getting older and I had to use the black tailgate on my truck for contrast in order to tie this nearly invisible line. Don't ask what I caught. I'll admit to pilot error.

Great for the money spent, but I would have liked the memory in the line to come out easier. Other than that, the product is fine.
