Good way to organize your gear By expedtech from Tyler, Texas on 02/24/2009 Pros: Large capacity, Rugged construction, Versatile, Weather Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack went on sale and I had wanted a storage solution for camping that organized everything so I jumped on it. The individual packs are well made and roomy. They work great individually or together and provide a great storage solution. The only downfall is they simply lie in the outer bag and are not held in place. Unless the individual bags are fully loaded the outer bag wants to collapse so it's hard to load and carry empty.
For the price I paid, it sure beats a rubbermaid tote though!

This is great for storing emergency supplies in your vehicle (blanket, flashlight, etc.), as well as organizing weekend getaway clothes. Also purchased the Modular Hauler 3 and think they are great. Good stuff, can't go wrong.

By Weesie from Worcester. MA on 02/04/2009 Pros: Versatile, Weather Resistant Best Uses: Long Trips, Tent Camping What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This should be very handy for organizing the car for long road trips, and for keeping the tent organized on camping trips. Color coded cubes will help a lot, can be assigned to different uses or different people.
By Mike from Roanoke, Va on 02/03/2009 Pros: Improves Backpack Function, Versatile Best Uses: Large Packs, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We use the hauler as primary vehicle transport & as a base station for modular deployment. Unfortunately, the transport vehicle is a pickup with no weather protection. The hauler is not waterproof. Impeccable Mountainsmith quality, just very limited weather resistance....
I've Bought Three of These By Star Watcher from Western NC on 02/03/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As the title says, I've bought three of these Haulers. I gave the first one as a gift to my son and after receiving rave reviews from him I ordered two more for my other sons. The best feature is the 4 seperate removable compartments. My son uses it for family travel and packs each family member's items in the individual compartments. He also uses it for organizing gear and equipment for camping.
By Up for an adventure from Portland OR on 01/27/2009 Pros: Easy accessability, Keeps gear organized, Versatile, Weather Resistant Cons: Heavy when fully loaded, Needs zip pockets Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We will use this for weekend trips to our cabin and for adventure outings such as: skiing, biking, hiking, kiteboarding. We like how our gear can be compartmentalized and easily accessible. Our daughter introduced us to this system. She loves it too. We also like how you can mix and match between different sized outer bags as well as use the outer bag for larger pieces of gear. Would be nice if bags had outer or inner zip pockets for small items, maps etc. Overall, good design!
