Mountainsmith Modular Hauler 4 By C. from Washington on 12/31/2008 Pros: Organizes stuff, Versatile Cons: Non structural sides Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't really used it yet. Husband is organizing hunting and fishing gear in it. He seems pleased. I think the carrying part of the unit would work better if the sides were more structured so they would stand on their own. It would be easier to put the modules in that way.
great for our family of 4 By Family of 4 from South Dakota on 12/28/2008 Pros: Color coded, Versatile Cons: Needs small zipper pocket Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used this for our family of 4 - each person got a different colored bag to put their clothes in. Was great and easy packing - easily held enough for our 5 day trip - and super easy to know which bag was yours. Bags seem very sturdy and will hopefully last us a very long time. One wish was that there was a zippered pocket inside the bag, but I'm figuring I could come up with something to appease that request. Fit nicely into the back of the mini-van and was easy to haul around. Discovered weight distribution to be key for easiest handling.

Solid organizer for family/gear addict By lessgearsmorebeers from Southwest USA on 12/08/2008 Pros: Durable, Instant gratification, Simple to use, Versatile Cons: Needs more structure Best Uses: Daytrips with kids, Road trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought it was a great idea and it serves its purpose perfectly. It could use a little more structure whether it be a more ridged base or a few stiff upright supports. Overall it is great but if it isn't packed full it tends to droop or lessen its packability. It alwas keeps your stuff in place and segregated even when half full but you tend to not be able to pack on top, around or under as efficiently when it isn't full.
By hikermom from Tampa, FL on 11/30/2008 Pros: Color Coding is terrific, Functional, Great organizer, Versatile Best Uses: Family trips, Organize gear Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We use this to organize gear by activity - the color coding is awesome for this! We also use it for family trips - each person gets a color (the cubes hold a lot!) and even use one for nights at teh hotel so we don't have to take in a suitcase for each person! Plus they pack into the trunk of the car so well, and are stackable.
