By Pat the Motorcyclist from Austin, TX on 09/03/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This sharpening stone and its' case are almost a work of art, even if the manufacturer labels them "seconds." Along with the occasional bottle of honing oil, this should meet sharpening needs for at least several lifetimes.
By rjcowboy from minnesota on 08/01/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Effective Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is exactly as advertised...a piece of stone. Don't know why these are seconds, there are no discernible flaws or defects. I'm using it to put an edge on a handmade Alaskan hunting knife.

By Cookie from Roland AR on 03/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Stone is a lot thinner than I expected. I will have to wait and see if the flaw in the stone will give me problems in the future. That being, that part of the stone will fracture off from use.
