If only Lance had worn an LAS By J from Washington D.C. on 07/28/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Everyday riding, Road cycling Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This helmet is so comfortable it is easy to forget it is on your head. A big plus, and very unique feature, are the bug screens on the front of the helmet. No more riding in fear of the stray bee.

a little smaller than i thought By bill from cleveland on 07/07/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Durable, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the one size fits all seems a bit too broad. i don't have the biggest head but it seems more like it can accomodate my head but is really made for someone smaller
By Daddy from NYC on 07/06/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Durable, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Mountain biking, Road cycling Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I now have three of these helmets. I put one on in a bike shop and bought it on the spot, retail! The most expensive helmet I have ever bought, but far and away the most comfortable. Other helmets left my forehead raw from sweaty pads, but the hairnet design of the LAS prevents this, while providing a more secure fit- sort of a Goldilocks fit: not too tight, nor too loose.
By Bitty from Rochester, NY on 07/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Everyday riding, Road cycling, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wanted a helmet that fit well and in the event of something happening, my head being safe. It is pretty scary out on the roads these days -- needed to have piece of mind.

The adjusments are easy to use and the mesh inside is a great idea. I will definitely get another one.
By Dave from Fredericksurg, VA on 06/30/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Good ventilation, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Exceptionally well ventilated (much better than the Giro Pneumo that this replaced). Also, lightweight and comfortable. The removable liner (for washing) is also a big plus for me. Perhaps the only drawback for some is that the styling may be a little too exotic.
By luvtoride from Birmingham, AL on 06/22/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Durable, Good ventilation, Lightweight, Nice fit system/pads Best Uses: Everyday riding, Road cycling, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this helmet a week ago and have made it my "go to" helmet. Much cooler than my other helmets and it is hot here in the South!!!
By Clincher from San Juan Capistrano, CA on 06/21/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment Cons: Missing some of the pads, No aerator scoop availabl Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been interested in this helmet for a long time, and the price looked to good to pass up. The fit was very comfortable, with just a little excesss play on each side of the head for my head shape. However, one of the side pads was misssing on my helmet, wich would have helped fill the space. I am still waiting for my replacement, so can't comment on final fit.
The helmet originally came from the factory with 2 different types of liners: the mesh net breathable liner (supplied with the Sierra Trading sample), and a removable pad system - missing on this helmet. Also, the helmet has the slots for attaching the aerator/scoop, but no scoop is supplied. If you want the scoop for increased airflow while keeping sun rays off your head, then look for the helmet from a vendor that supplies the helmet with scoop. The distributor says they won't sell you a scoop seperately as they "must be factory installed", and I couldn't find scoops anywhere on-line.
A visor is available from on-line sources if you want to use this for a MTB bike or recumbent, but for me there is room for a cycling cap.
All in all, this is a pretty good price on a very comfortable helmet, and I am looking forward to trying it out when the replacement arrives.
