Saved me from second surgery By SJ Chef from Louisiana on 04/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Restaurant kitchen, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Now buying my 4th SJ Kirk. For 15 years I had mistakenly worn another brand in long hours of restaurant business with growing pain in left and right ankles. After extremely, unnecessary, painful surgery on left foot I tried SJ, "The European Comfort Shoe." With SJ Kirks I have had no pain in either ankle for three years and still work long hours in restaurant business. Very comfortable! No break-in period. Non-slip in kitchen. Durable. A great value even at full price. But you can find discount prices.
By panama red from oklahoma on 01/31/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ive went through two pairs of these wonderful shoes. ive worn them everyday for the last six years. i am currently online buying yet another pair. i strongly reccomend buying a pair. The current pair i have look almost as good as the day i bought them after three years and i still recieve many comments on them. when this style is discontinued i will surely buy another style of the same brand. most definately a shoe for someone who is on there feet all day long.
By Nate the Great from Brunswick, Maine on 01/22/2009 Best Uses: Business Casual Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of shoes by Josef Seibel. They appear to be made very well and I like the color and style. Unfortunately, they are a bit snugg. I usually wear a size 9 in most shoe brands (an occasional 8.5 in Merrell), so I ordered that size, however, they are very snugg. I thought initially that it was the width being too narrow, but after wearing them a few times, it is apparent that they are too short as well. I wish I had ordered a half size bigger, but I've already started wearing the ones I have, so I'm stuck with them. I definitely would recommend this shoe to somebody else, just be sure you order a 1/2 size bigger.
Durable & Well Constructed By Mzungu Jim from New Hampshire on 01/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just purchased this brand for the first time. The shoe has an uncommon style, but it is a pleasing look. Very durable and well-constructed footwear. I have a somewhat or slightly wide foot and usually take an E or EE. This is a European size 44 and it is about right as a 10 1/2 in USA sizing. The medium or D width worked okay for me in a size 44.

By Randoman from Fairfax, Virginia on 11/25/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stable Cons: Bit off size in length Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use these at work and at lunch I walk a mile. Very tough shoe and I have received many compliments. I have bought Jos. Seibel before and always take Euro sz 45, these fit a little snug in the length. I have just as many experiences with Clarks and I believe Seibel is generally a cut above and generally more conservatively styled. Sierra has the best prices by half.
