By bilgerat from Ohio on 04/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, good sole Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Attractive shoe but the sizing is wrong. I wear a 44 in every other shoe across multiple brands including JS. These were too short and narrow for a 44.
By Handsome from Scotland UK on 04/10/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Handsome Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Brilliant shoe, obviously extremely well made and supremely comfortable. These replace an identical pair bought in the UK and now residing in a Charity shop waiting for a a lucky buyer. They were slightly short for my expanding feet. [...] MANY THANKS.
By the person from Florida on 03/12/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I feel somewhat self-concious about the size of my feet. These shoes unnecessarily add to the impression of having large feet. I still have and wear a pair of 10-year old Dexter make of casual shoe of the same size. The stability of that shoe may not be the best, but they are compact. With the huge amount of rubber for the heel/sole, these J.S. Kirk shoes give me the impression of harbour tugboats, with their huge rubber padding on the front and sides (needed for the work that these kind of ships do).
If it was not for this appearance issue, with the rubber heel/sole area, I likely would have been very satisfied with them.

Suitable for both casual and formal wear.
Consider ordering one size larger By Viz from San Diego on 03/09/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a 9 1/2 or 43. A 44 fit best with this shoe.
By DV from Folsom, CA on 02/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Quality, stylish Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of Josef Seibel shoes and will not be the last. I was surprised with the look, feel and quality of these shoes. They look great with jeans and kakis. Just wish they had them in black.
By TW from Kona, Hawai`i on 01/29/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stain Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A couple of years ago in Vancouver, BC we were walking to a shopping center. I was wearing the very expensive French casual shoes. Saw these shoes in black & on sale, (but way more than these) so tried them on. Left the French shoes at the store & wore these shoes on an "out of the box" four mile walk. Best, most comfortable shoes I've ever worn so I'm now buying the same in brown.
What is a quality shoe in 2007? By Buy once cry once (quality is cheaper) from Denver, CO on 12/26/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Molded removeable insole, Polyurethane sole, Soft quality leather Cons: Very slippery in cold Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Quality conscious Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Manufactured like most shoes; molded sole with glued-on upper. The only difference is the top material quality and to a lesser degree, design. Polyurethane sole wears and flexes better than the usual composite rubber. However, slips just like a kid's plastic sled on snow or ice. Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned for all other casual uses. (I live in Denver.
By Mark from Onalaska, WI on 12/25/2007 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes. They are my first J Seibel shoes, and they make me want more. Very comfortable and solid feeling. I've only had them for a few weeks, but I've had many comments about them. (favorable!)

I have wide feet and the shoes are very comfortable. I bought a pair of these in a shoe store last year and paid $120 on sale. I loved them so much I bought another pair [...]and the price was much better.
