By Petras from Lithuania on 09/14/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Stylish Cons: Heavy, Not Waterproof, Poor quality Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these boots for ice fishing, but waterproof claims are greatly exaggerated. I noticed right away that boots leak water. I complained to Sorel and they agreed to inspect them. After getting return number I sent them to their warehouse. They looked at them and determined that boots were faulty. Then they sent me new pair of boots. That would be fantastic, if they didn't leak water even worse than previous pair. Right away I tried to check if they are waterproof. One boot was taking in water from where the sole attaches to rubber bottom of the shoe. So I do not recommend you buying these boots. If anything there should be a recall for them or class action suit against Sorel. Images shared by: PetrasBrand New Sorel Caribou Tags: Made with Product, Picture of Product
Sturdy, comfortable, and stylin!!! By daisygirl from Idaho on 05/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been keeping my eyes out for a good deal on Sorels after seeing several women in them last winter. Here in Northern Idaho, we get some pretty incredible snow accumulation and I wanted heavy duty, durable, and stylish waterproof winter boots... when I saw these Caribou Pac boots on Sierra, I knew I'd found my DREAM BOOT!!! I am a size 10 and they are true to size - the 10 is perfect. The boot is a bit bulky feeling and heavy, but I will adjust to that easily... I wore them around the house in my tank and shorts when they arrived, jumping up and down at how much I love them!! They are stylish, warm, comfortable, and have got to be the absolutely best made, quality and comfortable winter boots I have ever had on my feet! Being spring, I haven't tried them in the snow - but I know these will be my favorite boot for years to come! I couldn't be happier over this purchase... I'm telling EVERYONE about Sierra!!! yay!!!
I WOULD buy this product again! By Winter buff from Lombard, IL on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Boots that deliver so many valuable features in extreme winter conditions CANNOT be as light as hiking boots/shoes in the summer so my mention of their heaviness (it's dependent on their size as well) is just merely a reminder to buyers that there is a "price" to pay for all the conveniences they provide.
By Marti from Northampton, Massachusetts on 02/12/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pressure points at ankles; hard to get in and out of.
By Jules from Rochester, MI on 01/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for warm, waterproof boots that I could wear out in the snow playing with my kids and these are perfect. I did end up getting 1/2 size smaller based on the reviews and they do fit great. I don't think I could have gone a whole size smaller though.

No more. These boots keep feet toasty.
By Popsicle Toes from Mpls, Minnesota on 12/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally wear size 7, Sierra advised ordering 1 size down. Not many left in stock so I ordered both 6 and 7. Size 7 fit great leaving enough room for a winter-weight "smartwool" sock and poly liner sock and a toe-warmer, The size 6 was definitely too small. The boots are rated warm to -40 "when active." I've used these boots when shoveling snow on a very frigid 0 degree day and my feet stayed warm. When I wore these on a 2 hour birding hike when 8 degrees outside (a lot of standing around looking and listening) my feet were VERY cold, but fit was comfortable. Even though my feet were cold they still got a bit damp...waterproof but not so breathable. Still the warmest boots yet...next time I will add Toe-warmers - that should help.

I have other boots in my closet, but these are the ones I ALWAYS go to when the weather get tough or my activities lead me up into the hills with snowshoes, backpacks, and the like.
By mtlionmama from Kalispell, MT on 12/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had a blizzard this weekend in NW MT and now we are experiencing wind chills in the -30 range with highs of minus zero. Dreaded taking the dog out, shoveling anything, or going anywhere. These boots were awesome and toasty! Hopefully we wont lose power in the house, but if we do my toes will be taken care of...
