I ordered up, thinking that they would be a little loose, and instead found them to be far too small. These were very nicely made, and I wish larger sizes had been available. I had to return them and was unable to order a larger size.

I would order a size larger, because of having adequate coverage of the ball of your foot. At least while they are new, it's quite difficult to "slip into" them because of the elasticity of the band, you need to use your hands. They are very comfortable and very warm!

They are comfortable, warm and machine washable. After washing them you shouldn`t dry them in the dryer or on the sun. It will damage the rubber gummed sole.

Since these are sturdy and well made from boiled wool entirely they are lightweight and so quiet on wood floors. Although they look kind of funny, almost generic, they have a charm to them as if these very style of slippers have been in use for generations. Some people might think they are ugly but I think they are cute but unassuming. I will be using these lovely slippers for a long time, I am sure.

While they fit ok, walking in them is a chore because they are simply too soft in the sole and on the sides. It feels like my feet are trying to keep these shoes on but they really want to fall off. Maybe good to keep around for guests as short-term house slippers, but I do not recommend these for every-day use.

(luckily I have narrow feet) I went outside to get the paper on a rainy day while wearing these which was a mistake. Water will wick right up from the bottom. But for the price these are great, get them, and if they don't fit just gift them off on to someone else.
