The 38 was waaaay too short and I had to order the 39. She is very happy with them now that she has the correct size.

The style was also too weird and earthy for my tastes.

I did have re-order to get the right size. Normally I wear a 39 (7 1/2), but a 40 fit perfectly. Order one size up.

They are very warm and comfortable and feel true to size and width. I take a women's size 8M, and I ordered the Euro size 41; they fit perfectly, even with socks on. Because the soles are light, they should be worn indoors, as slippers should be; not to the movies or shopping, as the most recent bad-fashion statement attests to. I highly recommend these, and you'll find them for sale at other catalog vendors for a price ranging from $69 - $80.
