By jeepsterish from Stockton, CA on 10/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Nice design, Sharp Blade Cons: Asymmetrical grind, Grip is too smooth Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival, Tactical Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The wood handle scales need to have checkering or some other grip enhancement to make this knife handle better. As it is, it will be slippery when wet.

Sturdy Knife, but arrived dull. By Tuxedoparkdog from Tuxedo Park, NY on 04/21/2009 Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This knife has a real nice piece of 440 stainless, and a sturdy grip. Craftsmanship is good overall, and the sheath is nice. However, when it arrived, it was so dull I could not cut a wet noodle with it. This had me scratching my head in light of the price. A few minutes with a wet stone sharpened it up, and it holds a keen edge very nicely.

Nice piece of steel hobbled by poor grip By Knife Collector from San Jose, CA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Cons: Poor Craftsmanship, Uncomfortable Grip Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice piece of full tang steel hobbled by poor craftmanship of the wood grip yielding a piece in which the full tang steel protrudes from the grip resulting in poor grip comfort and utility. May return.
