The most uncomfortable boots! By Cold Feet from Glendive, Montana on 01/28/2008 Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable, Not Warm, Stiff chafing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are horrible! I felt like I had on down-hill ski boots because the upper part is so stiff, and they chafed my calves on the outside. Also, they are not warm at all! My toes were so numb I had to take them off to warm up! Don't bother with these boots from Spyder!
Good deal on a waterproof pair of boots By Katie from Denver, Colorado on 01/23/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this pair of boots for snowshoeing and for throwing on after snowboarding. They were a great deal, but a poor fit. I ended up taking the insoles out, and now they fit great with thick socks. Keep my feet warm and dry, but they are about as comfortable as my snowboarding boots. Better than nothing, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.
By Cherie the healer from Overland Park, KS on 12/31/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Spyder brand in general. The boots are very cozy with good traction but they're a little tough to get in and out of. The boots are a bit tight on the top of my feet. I have pretty small and narrow feet and this is the first time that I bought boots that are tight in that area. Can't be worn with thick socks. they're fine with thinner socks like smartwool brand. If you want to wear thick socks, you should buy TWO sizes bigger.

They were hard to get into the first few times. However, I have woren them three times now, and they are much easier for entering/exiting. Perfect for anyone who spends a lot of time in the snow.
By Chloe from Fresno, CA on 12/27/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a size bigger after reading the reviews. Although the shoes runs small, I'm not sure it was a whole size larger, but left room for thick, cozy socks. I love these boots! They are durable, warm and not cumbersome at all.
By aaa from Boston, MA on 12/15/2007 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Heavy, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I gave the boots away (donated to shelter). It took me 10 minutes to put them on and another 10 to take them off. Way too stiff for a snow boot. Felt like putting on ski boots.
