Not fashionable wear but very warm By "Marv" from Buffalo, NY on 03/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Not for deep puddles, Not Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the boots for everyday winterwear however, my wife pointed out that they are not "dressy" enough to be standalone shoewear and when going to anything fairly formal I would have carry a pair of shoes. Additionally, only the lower portion of the boot is waterproof so if you stepped into a deep puddle (more than a couple inches) your foot will probably be soaked in a short period of time.

They provide excellent Winter protection and keep out the snow with the gaiter top.
