By plumlily from NYS on 12/08/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Awkward tightening gaiter, Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the boots for the reasons above, but they do seem to be difficult to get into and out of and the cords on the gaiters are in the way after pulling them tight.
By SnowGal906 from Keweenaw Peninsula, MI on 12/05/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these boots intending to use them for snowshoeing, but they proved to be more versatile than singling out one sport. They are perfect for trudging through deep snow -- my feet have not gotten cold or wet (or sweaty, for that matter). Due to their comfort, warmth, and traction, I have also replaced my casual winter boots with these for shoveling and walking the dog around the slushy, icy streets. Their single downfall is the lacing system, which obviously requires more time and effort to get them on and off.

By sarah from idaho on 11/07/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got mine and it amazed me how comfortable they are. They feel like a normal hiking boot, I'm so used to snow boots being clunky and awkward, not these! I bought mine to use w/ snow shoes and I'm looking forward to using them this winter.
One thing that's not mentioned in the specs for this boot is that they are rated to -40 F with the thinsulate insulation.
