The footbed was extremely comfortable and supportive. The uppers take some break in time. It is tough Bullhide. But, they do break in and it is a fine cold weather boot. You won't snap an ankle in these boots. I hunt the steep, rocky, cold, wet sierras and snow is always a possibility. the boot is perfect for that application. Very comfortable. A very good value for an insulated, gore-tex high top boot. And once you get the uppers broken in, it wears like iron. Bottom line: It is a boot you will have for years.

They should hold up well to rigorous fall/winter hunting. I have not had a chance to use them outdoors yet.

Appears oversize but is right inside. Suggest 1/2 size larger for much easier breakin of inside insulation. Also try 'mink oil' or similar leather softening agent outside, or expect lengthy breakin. Stiff sole, tough. Not a casual day-hike boot, but more of a cold weather stand-sitting boot.
