However, when she tried them on she liked them - there's plenty of room for good socks, the laces don't freeze up, and they're high enough to get her through our first good dump of snow.

I have only used them a couple of times and they seem to be molding to my foot nicely. The sizing seemed right, I ordered an 8 and I wear an 8. The heal was wide for me but that is normal. I will be using them to walk my dogs.

Although the lacing is not one-handed as mentioned in the description, I find I just leave them open at the top unless in deeper snow and the boot is stiff enough to slip on without even bending down to fasten. I live in snowy northern NH, where our temps drop to -30 and this is a warm, lightweight boot I can wear to and from work or anywhere except deep snow. I could do without the chartreuse accents - limits its use to sporty surroundings.

I have long toes, so I took their advice. Now I have a pair of boots that feel a half size too large. But I've doubled up my heavy socks, and they'll probably be okay. I'd recommed just ordering your normal size, nothing larger. And I haven't gotten the toggle closure to let me get the boots as tight as I want. Other than that, these are a very attractive and warm boot, and seems very well constructed.
