Good construction, although they are extremely stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe after another few weeks they will be more comfy. I have worn them for 2 weeks, and I have rub marks on my ankles, despite the wool socks and tucking in I do of trousers.

By Ski Mom from N Idaho on 12/05/2007 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Waterproof Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable, Not Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these after reading really good reviews about them. I found them to be really bulky and really heavy. I walked around the house with them for a day and they were very stiff on the shin/ankle. I tried them in the snow (sledding with the boys) with 2 pairs wool socks and had to go home because my feet were too cold. I think they looked great, that is probably the first attraction, but overall they didn't perform well. So I exchanged for something else. Hope this helps.
By newbieboarder08 from New York, NY on 12/05/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A shoe that's very warm, waterproof, sturdy, and looks great. Just moved to New York from the south and I usually get cold very easily. These shoes will be what I reach for whenever i need the guarantee that i will be kept toasty (at least my feet!) for long periods of time outside in any type of snowy or icy weather.

By Sacagawea from Vermont on 12/05/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Easy to tie, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish and good looking, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Hunting, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet and cold Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Everyday, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the height of the boot. The upper part is a bit stiff but that will break in. I wear a size 71/2 and ordered an 8. They fit perfect. They kept my feet warm while I sat in the snowy cold VT weather while hunting.
