Giro is a great helmet brand
By Rocky Mtn skierVerified Reviewer from Pasadena, CA on 04/12/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Easily Adjustable, Lightweight, Protective, Stylish, Well Ventilated
Best Uses:
Downhill, Skiing
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Bought XL for my husband. He has no idea it's for Women. He says it fits fine, but I noticed it's a bit shallow for a man -- ear flaps just covers his lobes, no extra coverage as it might do for a woman. But only I notice. He looks fine on the slopes. Be sure to check that ear flaps are fully snapped on -- they can come off easily and get lost.

If you're not dodging gates, this is the perfect helmet. Great value at end-of-season! Compare against $150-200 helmets at the slopes.

I have been reluctant to use a helmet due to past experiences with poor fit and bulkiness (many years ago). This helmet is so comfortable that I often forget I even have one on.

I bought this helmet for my "large headed son-in-law." He says it fits better than the men's 2XL helmets he had tried on.

Great low-priced helmet. VERY comfortable; you forget you have it on! Be careful with the "plugs" - if you're not careful they may fall-out when you turn the helmet upside-down. But not always. Very good bargain.

Vents can be plugged when cold. My first helmet and its very comfy. I would have given it 5 stars, but my husband's helmet has a switch to open vents. Very cool.

This is my first helmet and I purchased it to take out west. I loved it. It was light weight, comfortable and kept my head very warm with just a liner on underneath.
