Great.. but a little older By hceuterpe from Bloomington, IL on 11/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easily Adjustable, Headphone Compatible, Protective, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Downhill, Skiing Describe Yourself: Collegiate/Pro Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I decided to get wiser, so this is actually my *first* ski helmet.
I don't have much to compare it with, but the helmet seems great. It's a Giro higher end and based on what I've seen with other helmets, it's pretty good. It has a great ventilation system.
The model I actually got seems to be from 2 seasons ago. However the helmet hasn't changed at all (one 3 seasons ago was indistinguishable), short of colors. Given the pretty good savings along with the unchanged product, you really aren't getting an "old" model. Plus with a plain shiny black, that never goes out of style!
One thing to keep in mind, most helmets are rather generous in a large. Giro must market to shrunken head people 'cause I had to wear a XL
Great helmet, great price! By Up North from Duluth, MN on 11/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Peripheral Vision, Lightweight, Protective, Well Ventilated Cons: No sun visor, Not very stylish Best Uses: Downhill, Racing, Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for downhill skiing and it is a great all-around functional helmet. It is comfortable and sized right. I was tempted to order a size larger to fit a hat underneath, but I didn't and I am glad of that. I can fit a small hat under the size that is true for me. This is a great value.

The venting is outstanding, traded up from a G9 to this.

Great Product and Great Value By Will Rip from Cashmere, WA on 11/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Peripheral Vision, Lightweight, Protective, Stylish, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Downhill, Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: All Giro helmets offer great protection without being bulky or heavy, and this Giro Fuse is no exception. The ability to open or close the vents without removing the helmet is a great feature, and keeps my head comfortable at all times.
By wille from boulder, co on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easily Adjustable, Lightweight, Protective, Stylish, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Skiing, Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a Fuse helmet in silver and was thrilled to find one in black (need to wear black for Ski Patrol) at such a great price. The helmet is lightweight and the venting system works great; easily adjust from totally open to slightly open to completely closed with just one gloved finger. It's so comfortable that you'll forget you have it on.

All turn junkies need a brain bucket. By Kato from Albuquerque on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easily Adjustable, Great Peripheral Vision, Lightweight, Protective, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Downhill, Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second Fuse and I loved my first, but get a new one every two years as a rule. Everyone needs a helmet for sking, more to protect them from the "other guy" more than anything else. Giro makes a great helmet and they fit the XXL heads well.
