By TM from Easton, MA on 01/28/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my husband for work & to play with the kids on snowy weekends. The size (10) fit perfect. He had to change out of them one afternoon at work because they were too warm. He hasn't been outside for too long with them yet but I bet they'll keep him nice & warm.
By Joe from NJ on 12/29/2008 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Large upper leg opening Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The upper portion of the boot is huge! It allows you to easily slip your foot in and out, but unless you have enormous calves to fill the boot, you really have to pull the strings and tie them to keep the boots tight.
I was easily able to tuck my jeans into the boot, but was left with extra space around my leg - which isn't good, bc snow could get inside the boot. The other option is to tuck the boot under your pant legs, which leaves your pants in the open to get soaked.
I was hoping to wear these to work, when bad weather hits, but the boots a bit large and cumbersome and are more for shoveling snow or activities in deeper snow/very cold weather.

I need warm boots because my feet freeze when I'm outside for awhile.

By veggie in the Adirondacks from Au Sable Forks, NY on 12/16/2008 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Don't know what all those reviewers are talking about the size being too small - I ordered up a size because of all those comments, and had to send them back for his regular size of 10. They fit perfect! He hasn't worn them outside yet, so stay tuned for those comments. Also the size 11 had a really thick liner in it, but no foil barrier, as described for heat retention. But the size 10 came with the foil backed liner and is not as thick. I wonder if that could be the problem with some buyers having size issues.
