By Nana from Standish, CA on 08/25/2009 Best Uses: Day Hiking, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited to see a pair of Vasque boots in a wide width. Unfortunately these were so narrow they were unwearable and I returned them. I would recommend this boot to someone who wears a medium width because of the overall quality.

I luv Vasque..bought 3 other prs! By konarae from Kona, Hawaii on 08/17/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work on my coffee farm that is on rugged terrain. Almost daily wear and they've held up for years. Some other brands just didn't hold up like a couple mos. or are too stiff. I can wear Vasque all day and feel supported. And they're stylish. Have bought many pairs of hiking shoes and always satisfied with Vasque. Great in wet, rocky conditions and comfortable. I've noticed when I work without good support shoes, at the end of the day, I'm much more tired and my feet ache.

By older woman hiker from cincinnati on 07/13/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, For narrow heels, Get one-half size up, Light, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant, Waterproof Cons: Tread less than breeze Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist, Hike up to 6 to 8 miles Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: no breakin. durable, stable, waterproof through streams, traction not as good as the newer model of the breeze, but have heard the older gortex is more durable than the newer lighter breathable breeze gortex. have had for few years and still good shape although slipping more than before. no excessive wear of rubber treads. Also have expensive leather lined lowa that after 10 years the rubber bottoms just delaminated for no reason. Glue came apart.

Yes, I'm a freak of nature. My friend actually dared me to try these on and I bought them on the spot. Nice, snug width feel and good heel cup. Needs short break-in time. I am amazed that these shoes are such a good fit, if you have hard-to-fit narrow/long feet, get these!
By Carleenp from Chicago, Illinois on 11/18/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Water Resistant Cons: Laces come untied easily Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Geocacher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are quick to break in and have good cushioning and a good sturdy feel. I have wide feet and did not find them to be too narrow as others have. They felt a bit tight at first, but broke in quickly, at which point they fit perfectly in the width.
