The 'Z' strap keeps the shoe firmly on my foot without the heel rubbing I experienced with Mary Jane styles. The velcro strap fastener is quick and easy to use. When my first pair wore out, I bought 2 more pairs (just in case they get discontinued).

The Ecco 40 was VERY large; returned them and ordered 39 which were very snug but okay. Walking in them in the house, it quickly became apparently how very hard the soles were. no padding/comfort. Liked all else: design, colors etc, but it would not have possible to walk in them for any stretch of time. Regretable.

I hope I can stretch them, because I got compliments on the style.
