By Crispy from Portland, OR on 02/13/2009 Best Uses: Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really love these shoes, despite the criticism of shoe-snob friends. For the balance of having comfort and a touch more support under the heel, these are the best shoes I've owned (out of 6 pairs). The rubber is good and sticks really well. The fit is comfortable for an hour or more even though I bought a 42 and my normal street shoe is a 43. I wish I could find another pair in my size. For the money these can't be beat. In fact I'm considering paying more to resole them than I originally paid for them!
I climb 11s consistently inside and 10s outside, and never blame these shoes for any problems. I have had OTHER shoes that I've consistently blamed for falls, so don't doubt these just because they're so inexpensive.
Awesome beginer climbing shoe By All around sport gal from Gainesville, FL on 08/12/2008 Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these for my sister who hasn't done much climbing but wanted to give it a try so I didn't want to spend too much. These are great shoes for the price and an awesome beginner climbing shoe. They fit my sister perfectly and she is a women's 7 with a regular width foot.
By Newbie Nina from Boston, MA on 07/28/2008 Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used my Montrail Cruiser climbing shoes only once so far but I was able to smear effectively on an indoor climbing wall.
My feet have a fairly wide ball but a narrow heel. These shoes provide coverage and support where I need it.
Great shoe for beginner/budget climbers By Boulder Buddy from Norther Utah on 07/23/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoe for the price! If you don't wear them enough to justify the Big $'s these shoes are great! Break in well, adjust well, climb great! I have a pair for the both of us and they are perfect. Losen the heel straps, and you can even stand to belay in them when it's your turn.
