Excellent Shoe for the price By Crazy Chemist from San Jose, CA on 09/14/2007 Pros: Cheap, Sticky rubber Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Avid Climber, Casual/ Recreational, Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Hey, these shoes are cheap! I've bought several pairs already (and worn them out) but I plan on buying another pair tomorrow. They wear out fairly quickly, but for 30 BUCKS, you get your monies worth. Buy em, wear em out, and then throw them out... and get another pair. Oh, by the way, they are sticky. I have climbed many 5.12's and many, many slabs in them. Enjoy!
By Crash from Vermont on 09/13/2007 Best Uses: Indoor, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great extra pair of shoes for the money. As with all climbing shoes, you have to try them on to see if they'll fit your feet. If they do, what a deal. I'm used to stickier rubber but my friends say these stick just fine. I carry them along for easy climbs so I can save my other 2 pairs of expensive shoes for the stuff that is hard.
By Paul from Summit Co., CO on 09/12/2007 Best Uses: Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The wide toe box is not as aggressive as many shoes but may provide far more comfort for all-day climbing, especially for people w/ boxy toes. The adjustable webbing buckle on the sides can help lock the heel in, but also rubs and catches on the rock at times (some say cut it off, i haven't decided). Overall an intermediate shoe which gives you what you pay for.
By Prometheus the Rock Climber from Trinidad, CO on 09/12/2007 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is pretty good and you can't beat the price at all. It is a good beginners shoe because it is very comfortable and shows the necessity of a climbing shoe as opposed to a street shoe. It is also great because if the climber looses interest the aren't out tons of money.
