By Ginger from Raleigh, NC on 06/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only worn the boots a few times, but they've been pretty comfortable and I've had to stand in them for 6 hours at a time. Didnt require any break in. They're comparatively light in weight. There's something on the tongue of the shoe that causes me a little discomfort when they're worn for a long time. I bought a size smaller than normal and they feel a teeny bit big.
By jcozie from Northern California on 06/22/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfort: great. Look: ick. The black rubberized band in front is a little too over-the-top. Going to return them.

Great for hiking, to wear "out on the farm".
By Outdoor gal from Lake tahoe on 06/16/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction Cons: Not Comfortable, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I hiked half dome with this shoe and it gave me huge blisters on my way down. The tongue of this shoe seems too narrow and kept rubbing on my bone at the top of my foot. All in all, really disappointed with this pair of Asolos.
Fits like a glove. very water resistant. By Joy the Horticulturalist from Lisle, IL on 06/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have an outdoor job and am on my feet all day. Asolos have provided comfort and good support. I am around water and their waterproofing works well without feet sweating. The Vibram soles are a little stiff at first but will probably last much longer than other types.
By Hiker chick from eagle, id on 06/03/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In Cons: Cut of toe box a bit wide Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good, all-around hiking shoe with stability for rocky conditions. Size 37 1/2 makes for a bit more toe room.
By Lisa from Reno, NV on 05/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: There's room enough to add my own arch support insoles
By Teton Terri from Ohio on 04/23/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: I walk 5-7 miles daily, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered half size smaller. I use these for everyday trail hiking and general wear. They are also great for woods hiking where there is no trail. I have worn them everyday since they arrived because they are so comfy. I wear an orthodic for flat feet and it stays put nicely. They are very secure where slippery and wet. They also look nice on my feet. I am extremely happy.
Shoes did not compare to Asolo boots By JLL from Greensboro, NC on 04/19/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Not stabilizing, Poor arch support Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought they would be great everyday and in the woods. They were not comfortable no matter how I laced them or with extra arch supports. My Asolo boots fit great; this one was not for me.
Another fine Asolo product! By Outbackwack from Topsfield, MA on 04/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Audubon Docent, Naturalist, Nature Photographer, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a pair of full Nubuck leather Asolo hiking boots that are 20 years old and fit like a glove. These lightweight hikers were similarly comfortable right out of the box. I've been on 2 long woodland walks without a single hotspot. I may buy a 2nd pair at this great price! Highly recommended. Note: I am a man and bought these because of trouble finding shoes that fit...shhhh.
