Good hiking shoe
By Marcela from Tampa Bay, FL on 12/11/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent
Best Uses:
Mixed Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I ordered a full size smaller like the reviews suggested. The shoe fits very comfortably with regular socks. My thicker hiking socks made the shoe a bit too snug for comfort, though. Overall I'm very pleased with them.

So Glad I Got These!
By BonAirGirlVerified Reviewer from Bon Air, Va on 12/09/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In
Best Uses:
Mixed Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These are a size larger as stated. I bought them for that very reason. I cannot find women's size 12 often and a man's boot does not fit me properly. In size 11 these fit me to a T. I really love them!

With the good advice from Sierra Trading Post to buy a size smaller, I find I don't want to take these comfy hikers off! Trim look, lightweight feel, but sturdy for walking and hiking.

Solid hiking shoe
By Squirrel GirlVerified Reviewer from Seattle WA on 12/05/2008
Pros:
Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot
Cons:
Not flexible
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Hard core hiker
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I think these shoes will be perfect for what I bought them for: following squirrels around off-trail and on steep terrain in the summer. My feet were getting sore last summer wearing hiking boots 12 days in a row, so I think these will be lighter weight and more comfortable. It's great that they are waterproof and have great traction.

I am really pleased with these shoes. I ordered a full size smaller, and they fit perfectly. I still have plenty of toe room, and I didn't have the heel fit issues that others noted. These shoes look great too!
