Wonderful Shoe, plan to buy another pair By blkhikergirl from Indiana on 09/17/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes to go on a hike/camping trip to Michigan next week. [...] I got them a week in advance to break them in. Last night, I worked a 12-hour shift in them (hospital lab, on my feet all time). Not once did my feet hurt or get tired. True to size with a little extra for thick socks. I plan to get another pair specifically for work. Great shoe!
By Susan from Pennsylvania on 08/05/2008 Pros: Durable, GORE-TEX, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really wished these had more width. The shoe was great but too narrow.
Passed the test for a picky hiker By Hannah from Yosemite on 08/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Lightweight for packing, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My feet are worn out from many years of hard hikes. I need support and a perfect fit. These worked for me. I am a size 10.5, ordered a size 10, and they fit perfectly. They offer very good support, are very comfortable, and are waterproof. I would not take them on a weeklong backcountry hike (I'll wear my leather hikers for the support), but for my day hikes (5-10 miles) and daily dogwalks, they are just right.
By BWildAussie from Snohomish, WA on 07/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Rubber toe, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cool weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the reviews that these shoes ran about a half size too big. I should have ordered a whole size smaller. I am usually a solid 8.5 and my feet swam in these, three pairs of socks wouldn't have made it better. I also felt that the stability wasn't good either. For the shoes feelign too wide the center of balance felt too far forward and to the outside. It felt as though I could twist an ankle very easily. I sent them back (easy and painless) and ordered a completely different brand in an 8.5 that fit perfect.
By No Name from SC on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: No break-in required, ready to go. But do order a whole size smaller than you normally wear.
By Branham from Colorado on 07/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought my actual size and am glad since wool socks make the fit a bit more snug. I wore these on a day hike and they were great, can't wait to try out more hikes in these shoes.
