I was trying to replicate a pair of Merrill shoes that I had previously purchased and although this was the exact same design, the overall appearance of the shoe was not exactly what I thought I was buying.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like these shoes once I wore them but I like them quite a lot.
The shoes are lite and cushiony and hug my feet comfortably. The tread under the toes is sort of rough and has a tendency to snag on edges; the heal is smooth with little tread. One thing I had to get used to is the heal, it is narrow and has rounded edges.

He thinks they will stretch nicely and wear well because they are leather. They are not thin like many soccer/golf shoes, but not as thick as hiking boots are.
