By Mike from Whidbey Island Washington on 03/03/2009 Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight Best Uses: Powder, Slushy Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used it on a snow camping trip with a Boy Scout troop near Mt Baker Washington. Blade doubles as an insulator between snow and stove (careful blade could melt if you're not careful).
Collapses well. Handle a little bit "wobbly" but effective enough. Hard to dig in icy snow. Okay in conjunction with ice ax.
