By Asstscoutmaster from Levittown, PA on 08/04/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Quality, Roomy, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: Backpacking, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this bag for my oldest son who out grew the same bag in regular size. Our family is active in scouts and we own 5 of these bags. One son managed to blow out a zipper on one bag by rolling down a hill in it as scout camp. I have had mine for 8 years. This past January, 3 of us camped out in tents using these bags with fleece liners at -8 F (-17 with wind chill) and had not problems. I have pointed many scouts to these bags with much better results than [@]bags for the same price.

Comfortable & warm for a spring night By Camper Steve from Jersey City, NJ on 06/03/2009 Cons: Compression Sack Needed, Zipper Snags Easily Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this bag on a recent car camping trip in Shenandoah National Park, where the temps were down in the low 50's at night. In those conditions the bag was quite warm and comfortable, I didn't even need to zip it up. I don't generally like being constrained in a mummy-style bag, but this one seems to have extra room inside and that's fine for me. Soft and comfortable. The only negatives are that the zipper really does have a problem with snagging, and it doesn't matter if you're trying to zip it from the inside or outside. The bag is also difficult to roll up and stow inside the provided storage sack. But for car camping it was a good purchase.
Excellent Bag for the Price! By Jim the Runner from Minnesota on 04/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Roomy, Warm Cons: Compression Sack Needed Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I paid under $30 for this bag from the always amazing sierra trading post (who continue to blow my mind their amazing prices). The bag itself feels like a $100+ bag! Very comfortable and warm. A bit on the bulky side, and I wish it came with a stuff sack, but for the price I paid, who's complaining?
By tenting family from minneapolis area on 04/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the Long version after hearing the regular is not so long. This is long enough to zip over our heads (we are all under 5' 9") without feeling claustrophobic. The leg area is wide enough that you don't feel like an egyptian mummy. Warm, light, easy to stuff.
Not bad except for the zipper By bob from charlotte, nc on 04/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We used this sleeping bag on a recent camping trip. The bag kept us warm during the night, 40+ degrees. Outside of the zipper getting stuck several times this works for us.

By reallthang from Utah on 03/24/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this bag for my husband, 6'2" and 215 lbs, and huge shoulders. It is really hard to find a bag that will fit comfortably in. This bag fits him well. It has enough foot room and just enough room to turn in without feeling claustrophobic. It is a bit heavier for our backpacking trips but he says it is worth it!
Alps Mountaineering 20°F Sleeping Bag By Mas from Newark, Ohio on 03/23/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Did not get to test in the bag rated coldest temperature but it did rain and the feet end of the bag got wet which woke me. I woke not because my feet were wet but because the insulation value was removed which made my feet cold and cold feet causes me to awake. Temperature that night was about 55 F. Other nights (without the bag getting wet) the temperature got down to 50 F and I had to remove by bed clothes because I was sweating. That makes me believe this is probably an actual 20 F bag. Good quality without paying for the vendor's/manufacturer's name. You know who they are.
