Stay warm on the colder nights By Canoe Guru 88 from Cornwall, PEI Canada on 06/25/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Warm Cons: Compression Sack Needed, Zipper Snags Easily Best Uses: 3 Season Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this product for an annual spring canoe trip my friends and I take on the Miramachi. The nights went down from 3-5 degrees celcius and I was so warm I had to sleep in my skivvies. The size I wouldn't say is a downfall because of what you're getting with it in terms of warmth. It's no big deal to pick up a compression sack to make it more manageable.

He camps in high altitudes where the weather is cold. It works for him and that is all that counts.

Warm and Comfortable Cold Weather Bag By ministercreek from Camping in Ohio's Wayne National Forest on 03/02/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Not some "trendy" brand, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Car Camping, Cold Weather, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Currently I am using this ALPS Alpine Lake 0 Degree Mummy Bag here in Ohio's Wayne National Forest. This bag is keeping me warm. Last night cold air poured into the area along with strong, cold winds from a storm system to the south in Virginia. The nightime temps dipped to near 13 degrees. This bag is a definate life-saver if you ask me. I should know. I am living in the forest in my ALPS Mountaineering Zenith 2 AL Tent I recently purchased from Sierra Trading Post. Since the tent body is entirely composed of nylon mesh, it is not too thermo efficient. However this bag is keeping me warm and alive.
Yes, I would definately recommend this bag. It will keep one warm and comfortable in temps that hover around 0 above. I know this from personal experience.

Seems like a good bag at at super price! By Capt. Billy Thimbleberry from Western Upper Peninsula on 02/09/2009 Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As it is the first week of February I haven't had the opportunity to sleep in the bag. As a consequence I can not venture a judgement on the bag's ability to keep me warm. The price was very good and the workmanship of the bag looks good. I expect that for 3-season use it will be a good addition to my camping stuff.
By Alaskan Merc from Anchorage, Alaska on 11/18/2008 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Great Zipper System, Warm Best Uses: Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a toasty warm bag, great for rustic cabins or heavier camping trips in winter. I don't recommend it for backpacking because it's so heavy (it's about five pounds) unless you have a sled to pull it or are really burly. I will be taking it on shorter winter excursions, but a lighter bag will be best for summer anyway. Oh, it is also a great length- nice for tall people.
