Chaco's have great arch support By Karen from Barrington, IL on 08/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Describe Yourself: Active, Athletic, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My second pair of Chaco's. The first pair is over 7 years old and still going strong. Love the arch support. Web band is stiff at first but lossens up after a couple of wearings.

By JoJo from Vancouver, WA on 07/21/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Beach, Travel Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend These are a great combo of orthotic type sandals and stylish flip flops. I'm rarely satisfied with products that claim to have arch support. There is nothing which completely relieves my plantar faciitis but solid arch support is a great help; Chaco flip flops are superior in their claim. Proper support is not about a shoe/sandal just feeling soft and cushy; there must be significant support/shape for long-term relief.
I greatly appreciate the movable strap. It independently moves to the position needed for the best (proper) fit on my foot. The sole is sloped in general to follow the natural shape (flow) of the foot and has a moderate heel cup to aid in support. Running shoes with inserts will always be the ultimate for poor feet, but in warm seasons these flip flops are the best alternative for support, comfort and style.
Uncomfortable fiting flip flop By Beagle mom from Cincinnati, Ohio on 07/21/2008 Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This flip flop did not work out for me at all. I own a pair of Chaco Hipthongs and so I figured I could order the same size in the Switch style and it would fit. Unfortunately the sizing is not the same and a 6 in the Switch did not fit me like my size 6 Hipthongs. The Switch has an extremely narrow footbed, tight straps and is short in the length. Plus the Switch does not have adjustable straps like the Hipthongs so you cannot customize your fit in these flip flops. If looks alone were enough I would have kept these shoes, but the fit is uncomfortable and not very supportive.
I would buy this product again. By Chloe's Mom from New York on 07/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Barbecues, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Chaco makes some of the best sandals going! This is my second pair and I am very satisfied. I have a wide foot with a narrow heel and these fit as if they were custom-made. And they're extremely comfortable.

couldn't keep them on my feet By Sue from metro DC on 07/03/2008 Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really, really wanted to love these sandals. The colors (lavender/turquoise) are beautiful and the footbed is very supportive and comfortable. However, my foot is fairly flat with a low instep and these sandals were very difficult to keep on my feet. Most thong sandals have a fairly short piece which fits between the toes, to which the instep strap attaches. If you look at these sandals, there is nothing which attaches to and stabilizes the piece between the toes (the solid leather piece slides along the fabric piece; it's not sewn to it). This results in too much movement of the foot along the fabric strap. Maybe if I had a higher arch/instep, these would work out. Sadly, I had to send these back.

By Love 2 Run from Huron, OH on 06/17/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Beach, Out and about Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am not usually a fan of flip flops cause they just make my feet hurt and give me blisters. These gave me no blisters breaking them in and are so comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have some plantar fascitis and I can actually wear these without pain!
