easily dirty/stained and wider sizing By don k from cebu, PHI on 10/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This has wider sizing and though the color was fine with me, the canvass finish would have been easily stained and worn out
By paisley from vermont on 09/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work with people with Parkinson's disease and I am always telling them to lift their toes when they get "frozen" and can't move forward. The gentleman I have testing these shoes finds them comfortable and thinks they might be helping. I think it is giving him the "toes up" feedback to remind him to lift his toes. It will be interesting to see if these do indeed help him long term.
If these shoes don't help, they are nice looking and comfortable and my husband wears the same size...

By Dogwalker David from Austin, TX on 09/13/2009 Pros: Durable, Looks Great, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As an Earth rookie whose never owned a pair, I was very intrigued by the looks of this shoe and the Kalso effect, but I probably wouldn't recommend this as a first shoe to try Earth's negative heel technology. Most of the reviews seem to be from repeat customers and used to the heel, but it is unusual feel for new customers. Plus I'm surprised no one mentioned how heavy this shoe is; somewhat Frankenstein-like and I've never owned shoes this heavy before. Sounds like I'm ragging on the shoe and I came close to returning them, but I stuck it out and wore the shoe a little bit every day for a week and now I don't notice the weight as much. One thing that bothered me at first was the shoe collar in the back of my ankle. The lower Kalso heel forces the stiff collar to bite into the back of my ankle when walking. It's gotten less stiff over time and not much of a problem anymore. The high arch was uncomfortable since I'm flat footed, but the Gelron2000 cushion over time did mold to my feet and now I enjoy wearing the shoes around the house. I probably would have chosen the Kalso Lites or walking/jogging shoe as a first shoe to break into the negative heel instead of this one, but I'm glad I gave it a chance and now I'm sold on the technology - it does help your posture and my legs feel like they had a mild workout just by walking in these shoes.
By comfort-driven belle from Memphis, TN on 09/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an Earth shoe fanatic and wear a 7 men's or 8.5-9 women's. These are my favorite pair of Earth shoes! Chuck Taylors meet boat shoes. I can see how they may be for narrower-footed men because I am a normal to wide-footed woman and they fit perfectly -not too loose in the hell, with room in the toebox. I wish they came in a rainbow of girlie colors, but the khaki is the perfect subtle and upscale sneaker [...] I have found one other men's style with the same footbed and the fit is similar.

Very comfortable shoes, but alas... By Stu from Los Angeles on 05/11/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Looks Great, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have another pair of cloth Earth shoes that I love and am wearing out quickly. I thought these would make good replacements but they were way too narrow for my wide foot. Otherwise I really liked them, they looked much better than the picture in person.
Earth friendly - back friendly, too! By Music Maker from NC on 04/20/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great, Stable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like Earth shoes because they look a bit different than the average shoe - and I like being a little different from the rest. I also like the way they make my back and knees feel.
