Elastic and some stitching failed after only five weeks of on and off wear (probably 50% on). Not durable enough for me.

They aren't overly clunky, and not too casual to wear to work. Because I walk constantly and am in and out of buildings in all kinds of weather, I need shoes that can take a bit of slush, rain puddles, wet grass and hot pavement but that still look professional. These fit the bill. I'm contemplating buying the similar pair in dark gray.

I was hesitant to use them for garden work as they looked too good and I didn't want to get them dirty. Since I bought them for garden work I decided to use them anyway. The soles have excellent traction, they are comfortable and easy on, easy off. Perfect for the quick trip out the back door,around the house and casual in town.
