a purposeful shoe with character By Keithoh from Kansas City, MO on 07/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stain Resistant, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've developed a lot of problems with my feet as I approach seniority which I don't want to blame on the shoes that can only do so much for a pair of collapsed old feet. These shoes are comfortable and truly extra wide as promised. They have a rustic yet sophisticated look and take a lot of abuse without complaints!
By DUNHAM DUDE from KISSIMMEE VALLEY, FL. on 07/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: THESE SHOES ARE UP TO STANDARD FOR THE DUNHAM BRAND, EXCEPT FOR THE OMISSION OF EYELET REINFORCEMENTS FOR THE LACES. 4E WIDTH IS NOT WIDELY AVAILABLE SO I WAS GLAD TO GET THAT. PRICE 0F [$]IS LESS THAN HALF OF RETAIL.
Very comfortable, good looking By Rick O from Chugiak, Alaska on 07/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Handxome Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have "problem" feet as the result of diabetes and really must be satisfied with foot gear to wear them. This is a very comfortable shoe, soft yet supportive, and handsome enough for casual dinners and concerts. Great buy!
By Brimstone from Colorado Springs, CO on 07/09/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Modern version of the classic wide-foot desert shoe. Very comfortable for wide feet. Flat sole like original chukka's but better material than the old "gum" sole. Probably good for hot weather where you want a higher shoe than sneakers. Extremely flexible; I suspect these will be outstanding driving shoes. However not a lot of arch support for walking. Don't beleive the hype about the "Soft, memory foam footbeds", these are little better than the cheapies that come in most shoes. Probably replacing them with some good Spenco's or Dr. Shock's will give enough support for a long day at the mall or zoo. There's a decorative welt on the instep that nicely breaks up the wide forefoot appearance. Recommended!

By James from Leesburg, VA on 05/20/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The picture seems to depict a beefier boot and the reviews suggest a cushioned foot bed - great combination. However, I think the shoe just has high sides with a flat and dull sole.
By Big Bill from The 'Cuse, New York on 05/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Nice and wide Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a wide foot and buy Dunham shoes because they come in a 4E which is really a wide shoe. That's why I bought them and that's why I like them.
