Style of a Russian princess. ;>)
*Warning though. I have thin calves and this is definitely a boot for thin calves only! Mine was a 10-N and it fit like a dream.
BEAUTIFUL boots - I got the brown By Suzy the lazy homemaker from Milford, OH on 10/13/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Flattering Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Take a walk and be admire, Wear out at night, Wear to work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't walked around outside in these yet but , boy, have I tried them on. (If my husband had his way, I'd wear them as bedroom slippers....) I am in my mid-50's. I used to have nice legs. While my rear end is not shrinking, my CALVES have!! I feel this is unfair. So when I read the reviews saying these boots look great but are too tight in the calves, I felt I DESERVED these boots. The reviews were right, but let's just say I can even handle the fake fur cuffs.... And I look great. I do have to add that I am only 5'2" and these are a little short on me so a taller person may not like the height at all - and the fur would be hitting at their widest part of the calf. I'm hemming a skirt a little longer than I normally would to look better with the height of the boots.
By G from MD on 08/28/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable, Too narrow at the toe box, Too tight on the calf Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I look for fashion and comfort so I usually look for 8W but can wear 8M in many styles including boots if the leather is soft. I was not able to do so with this boot. It fit too tight in the toes. I also had difficulty zipping it up on my calf. The leather was not as soft as I thought it would be. But I really liked that it was a fashionable waterproof boot.
By KW from Chicago, IL on 07/27/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots look great. I take a 9W. Based on others' comments I bought a 10W and they fit very well. I have "normal" width legs, and I do notice that these boots fit snugly. Fortunately I prefer this, but I would not recommend these boots to someone who wanted more room in the leg. The fur collar is really cute, but it is a little bit of a pain to snap it closed.
By Storm from Chicago, IL on 01/31/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Not as wide as expected, Scuffs easily Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice boots, but I ordered the wide width and they're not as wide as I would expect but look like they might stretch. They also did not come in the original manufacturer box, plus there are already small scuffs in the back of the boots. Somebody must have returned them. I'm still debating whether to exchange them but it doesn't appear to be available in my size anymore.
By Carel from Cle Elum WA on 01/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Waterproof dress boot Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful boot! But the calf is way too slim--mine is just medium heavy but there was at least an inch between the zipper. Must have a very slender calf to wear. I'm crying that I couldn't. The foot was very comfortable with an arch support.
By Merf from Chicago IL on 12/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots! I was looking for something like this for years. My only dissapointment in the look is that they look much slimmer in the pictures. But what can you expect from a lined warm winter boot!
I read reviews about the shaft being narow and was nervous about it. Mine fit fine. I have a 14in calf size. We've had lots of crazy winter weather since I got them. They've been warm and dry in rain and snow. I've trudged through rain puddles and large piles of snow and I kept warm and dry and the boots still look like new. They are even great on ice! I was fine walking accross a completely frozen drive way while my son (in snow boots) was slipping all over the place. My only problem with them is I've had them less than 1 month and the rubber on the bottom of the right one is peeling off. I hope it's just one deffective boot, I'm going to exchange them.
By Joy(euse) from The hot & steamy South on 12/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, True to Size, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual wear, Corporate wear, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, General all-purpose Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a HUGE Sudini fan & own 4 pairs of Sudini boots. Sudini is the only company I've found that makes narrow boots that are wide enough in the calf to accomodate my althetic legs. I bought 2 pairs of these Sudini boots in my usual Sudini size of 9 N: black smooth leather & brown smooth leather. The footbed was very true to Sudini's standard: for me this means comfortable with my orthotic inserts (the footbed is removable) & narrow enough to accomodate my AA width foot. For some reason, this style of Sudini runs VERY narrow in the calf, even when I sadly removed the faux fur topper (which I loved...). I really wanted to keep these boots & finding waterproof leather boots in 9N is next to impossible, so I took them to a local shoe repair store to widen the calf area by 1.75 inches. After paying $40 in repair fees per boot, I now have 2 pairs of PEFfECTLY fitting waterproof leather boots! Repair fees aside, I still feel that these offer a tremendous value & I'd highly recommend considering this option if you're hard to fit in boots & you have access to a reputable shoe repair store. (They essentially added a deeper gusset that's more in line with what I have on my other pairs of Sudini boots).
