I also like the look of a boot for casual wear - something a little nicer than sneakers or work boots. They look great with both jeans or casual slacks, they broke in very easily and they clean up great. Unfortunately the sole is not as good as the rest of the boot and in less than a month of wearing them (and not every day)the bottom is getting smooth on the ball of the foot and has totally worn through on the heel. Since I like the boot, I'm going to try to keep them going for a while by using heel plates and limiting their use, but I've had better wear from shoes purchased at bargain stores
