By native plant grower from state college PA on 08/16/2008 Cons: Haven't found any yet Describe Yourself: Alternative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: comfortable and simple
By Randy from Minneapolis on 08/14/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters Describe Yourself: Human, Normal Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read all the other reviews for this and took note. I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 and so I got an 11 (which I never wear) and they fit great. I also have a very wide foot and they are fine.
They do rub a bit on the back heal, but not enough to cause blisters.
By cp from richmond va on 08/13/2008 Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Conservative, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Other reviewers have commented about the width being too narrow - well some of us still have narrow feet; and Teva mush insoles are just the thing for my inflammated bursas.
By Stemcell from Lebanon NH on 08/10/2008 Cons: It is a very bad fit Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was drawn to the Ryley shoe from Teva because of the Wraptor system (and I liked the way they looked). The sizing for length was fine but the show was so narrow from the sole to the upper that I could not even pull the Wraptor system around my foot (which is a very average size 9.5). It is really weird because I have never had a pair of shoes that were too tight in that dimension. Be careful about the sizing.
Maybe ok for narrow feet? By landsnark from louisville, ky on 07/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The post-and-grommet closure is unwieldy and weird, and the strap that goes around the instep was too short. My husband does not have wide feet, but he couldn't make the strap reach to hook even on the last grommet. We had to return these shoes. Tevas are usually better designed than this.
Other than that, he really liked them and would have loved to be able to keep them. Styling is great.
nice idea, but not the best design By goldbork from ny on 07/21/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: these shoes would be a good, easy to wear, casual option if they weren't so hard to fasten, but the button or nob that they use to close is very difficult to use.
By irish_john from chicago on 07/18/2008 Pros: Good Grip, GOOD SUPPORT, stylish Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Light hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these shoes look great. the back of the shoe really digs into the achilles. i've only worn them once and hope by the 5th or so wear this will stop. they do fit snug. i have a somewhat wide foot and it wasn't a big problem. the snap closure is a LITTLE difficult, but what i worry about is if it will stay fastened. time will tell if these shoes wear as good as they look.
My wife calls them elf shoes! By Elf Boy from SW Michigan on 07/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The straps make them feel a bit snug, but I think they will stretch as I wear them. Best pair of elf shoes I have owned.
By gare the trailer builder from Advance, NC on 06/29/2008 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Conservative, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes. They do good on or off the pavement but are definitely geared towards being outdoors( light rock climbing). Be warned though, the first time out with these shoes will leave you with some killer blisters right along the achilles, but after that, it's smooth sailing.
