By BJ from La Crosse, WI on 04/06/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Decent pack, but rather small capacity and not a lot of pockets. The zip off pack is a great idea, but there are many other bags with that feature that offer a lot more space and convenince.

I carry it as a backpack while juggling my checked bags. Once my other "big" bags are checked, I can easily wheel this bag thru Security and to my gate. When its time to board, I unzip the two bags. The bigger one with all my clothes goes in the overhead (and it slides in wheels first - doesn't take up too much room - it even fit in the overhead on the smaller planes with tiny overheads) and the smaller one with my "comfort" stuff, goes under the seat in front of me. Now I can easily access my book, snacks, MP3 player, etc. When I get off the plane, I zip the two packs back together and off I go. I absolutely LOVE this bag!
One more thing, both bags really hold a lot. You could easily use just this bag for a weekend trip - really cuts down on the checked bag fees.

By skunz72 from Seattle, WA on 03/25/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband and I each purchased this bag about 7 years ago for our trip to Europe. It worked great! It was easy to carry, easy to identify in the airport, lightweight, durable, and very versatile.
We liked it so much that we got our 4 year old son one when he was a newborn. He has taken on many weekend trips to the grandparents, weekend getaways, on many vacations. He is now old enough that he loves wheeling it around. I can't say enough good things about this bag that we even got one for our 2nd child who is a newborn to carry his items in as well.
Excellent for airline carry on. day pack.

We wanted a travel bag that we could take as a
carry-on, use as a backpack, and have no
checked luggage. It also includes a day-pack
that can also, pass as a purse item, on planes.
The bag has lots of pockets, and the ability to
pull it thru the airport is an added bonus, when
the bag is heavy from all the goods, to bring home.
By FSO from Washington DC on 03/20/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity Describe Yourself: Frequent traveler Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took it on a trip to the Middle East and it stood up pretty well -- from regional jet to Boeing 767 to C-130. Netbook, extra change of clothes and odds&ends fit well. Ability to use wheels or backpack straps was handy and ability to separate pieces enabled storage in all aircraft as a carry-on. Zipper that connects backpack to larger compartment doesn't seem very strong, so we'll see how it holds out.
